Real plot-level yield and climate-risk data almost never leaves the agency or NGO that collected it \u2014 not for students, not for methods research. Agriculture is Dataset Foundry's fourth line family, and its first line, Crop Yield, is deliberately agronomic rather than insurance/finance/health-shaped: no policy, loan, or clinical-workup window, no name field, and the record's own severity structure (single-stage classification vs. two-stage classification-plus-severity) is a per-generation choice, the same runtime toggle Breast Cancer introduced. Unlike every other line on this platform, this one doesn't yet take a country parameter at all \u2014 every record is Ghana today, honestly, not a selectable default.

These aren't hidden in the noise — they're the reason the line exists. Two hypotheses drive shortfall probability and hold no matter which stage mode you generate in. Two more, verified only in two-stage mode and scoped to shortfall plots, drive yield-loss severity.

Drought-stressed crops are well documented to be more susceptible to pest and disease pressure — West Africa's Fall Armyworm spread across maize since 2016 is the concrete regional instance of this compounding pattern.

Configurable length, configurable shape

Pick a record count, a seed, and a stage mode (single-stage shortfall-only, or two-stage with severity fields \u2014 two-stage is the default), and the deterministic model runs server-side and hands you a CSV, manifest, and citation block. Same seed-and-cite reproducibility as every insurance, finance, and health line.

Crop Yield is shipped now, with its own hypothesis tables and methodology page. A post-harvest supply-chain-rejection line is next in this family on the roadmap, following the same sequence Crop Yield itself did \u2014 not scheduled while the freeze holds.

A second country's own rainfall/soil/crop reference data is on the roadmap too \u2014 today every record is Ghana, not a default among options.
